This is indeed important - a new interface + enhanced content. I will reproduce here the announcement sent by Oxford University Press:

“We would like to inform you of some exciting changes to International Law in Domestic Courts (ILDC).  ILDC is scheduled to become part of a broader online service called Oxford Reports on International Law on July 10, 2008. There will be no interruption to access for your users.  However, they will experience a new user-friendly interface and enhanced service.

Oxford Reports on International Law is a new modular service offering broad coverage of international case law from international courts and tribunals, domestic courts and ad hoc tribunals. The re-launched ILDC service will form one of the content modules within Oxford Reports on International Law, and will continue to be updated with the same regularity as before.

Additional content modules will be available as part of the Oxford Reports on International Law service over the next several months.  These modules will include Oxford Reports on International Criminal Law, Oxford Reports on International Human Rights Decisions and Oxford Reports on International Investment Claims.

New Benefits for ILDC Subscribers

Free access to ICJ and PCIJ cases

Upon re-launch of the existing service, ILDC subscribers will have automatic FREE access to the new Oxford Reports on International Courts of General Jurisdiction module, which includes cases from the International Court of Justice and Permanent Court of International Justice.

The Oxford Law Citator

The Oxford Law Citator is powerful research tool provided free of charge with any Oxford Reports on International Law subscription. Via the powerful Citator, each case report links users to important information about all decisions, instruments, and secondary materials that reference a particular case.   This is an ongoing project which will offer enhanced linking and referencing throughout the service. Jane’s is one of our most critical resources, and a very specialized one.

However, to get started with such a complex resource is not always easy. To help you find the information you need on Janes.com, the vendor offers complimentary introductory training sessions for all its subscribers.

Even professionals who are used to work with Jane’s for many years and do not have problems finding their way around its contents and features may benefit from effective search and retrieval techniques from Jane’s experts.

The next session of “Janes.com 101: Getting the most out of your online subscriptions” is July 16th from 2-3 PM (EDT). Don’t miss out on this valuable opportunity, and please send this invitation to any colleagues who also use Jane’s and would like to learn more!

To register for the session, or for other dates and times, please go to: http://www.janes.com/info/webinarseries/

Yearbook of International Organizations - Please log out

This is a reminder that all users should log out after using Yearbook of International Organizations, as we have only one concurrent user available for this resource, and there have been some turnaways lately.

Navigating away from the site or closing the browser does not close the session. The session times out after 10 minutes of non-use, but your colleagues will appreciate that you close it by logging out when you are done with your research.

Thank you!
